The recent introduction of the Gastronics' SL-Series 2-Wire, 4-20mA, Microprocessor Based Gas Transmitter will save customers the cost of having to use Intrinsically Safe Barriers. This is because with a Intrinsically Safe approval (CL1, Div.1), even if the monitor is used in a CL1, Div.2 area, it still must use a barrier since it was approved with a barrier. However, the SL-Series will have a Non-Incentive approval (CL1, Div.2), which allows it to be used in a CL1, Div.2 area without a barrier.
Gastronics, Inc. radio telemetry and True Wireless Gas Detection Technology is compatible with Safer Version 9.1 Chemical Release Dispersion Software for real time modeling of chemical releases. |
