TRUE WIRELESS NEWS: ALL 64 PATENT CLAIMS COVERING OUR TRUE WIRELESS GAS MONITOR HAVE BEEN APPROVED BY THE U.S. PATENT OFFICE ON JULY 14, 2003. THE PATENT HAS BEEN ISSUED ON DECEMBER 30, 2003. GASTRONICS HAS JUST RECEIVED NOTICE OF IT'S SECOND APPROVED PATENT COVERING WIRELESS GAS DETECTION HOUSED IN AN EXPLOSION PROOF HOUSING/J-BOX. Gastronics has introduced the new PowerLink 5 Watt UHF Remote Telemtry Unit with 6 Analog Inputs, 8 Discrete Inputs, 4 Relay Outputs, a 24VDC Loop Supply, and best of all, it incorporates the worlds smallest Programmable Logic Controller. The recent introduction of the Gastronics' SL-Series 2-Wire, 4-20mA, Microprocessor Based Gas Transmitter will save customers the cost of having to use Intrinsically Safe Barriers. This is because with a Intrinsically Safe approval (CL1, Div.1), even if the monitor is used in a CL1, Div.2 area, it still must use a barrier since it was approved with a barrier. However, the SL-Series will have a Non-Incentive approval (CL1, Div.2), which allows it to be used in a CL1, Div.2 area without a barrier.
